A secure passphrase usually combines multiple unrelated words, enough total length, and a unique phrase you do not reuse elsewhere. Adding capitalization and a small number can improve variety even more.
Password mode is useful when a website requires a shorter character-based credential or stricter symbol rules. You can control length and choose which character sets to include.
